Natural remedies to treat skin fungus easily at home
Ringworm is a highly spreadable form of skin fungus. It can be passed from a person to another person,especially in communal areas like locker rooms and swimming pools. There are some remedies you can use at home, but you should still consult a doctor before you begin any treatment.
Remedy 1
Turmeric : Curcumin has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Drink turmeric tea or use it to spice up your meals. Mix turmeric with water or coconut oil and apply the paste to the affected areas. The important point is that the turmeric paste can make your skin appear yellow for a few days.
Remedy 2
Apple cider vinegar: Apple cider vinegar has antifungal properties and treats itchiness and dryness. It also regulates the yeast growth by neutralizing the PH. Soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and apply it to the affected areas. If the infection is in an area that gets sweaty, rinse it off after 15 minutes. Repeat the process up to 3 times daily.
Remedy 3
Neem leaf extract: Neem Leaf extract removes major pathogens and dermophytes from your skin. Boil the neem leaves in water for a few minutes. Wash the infected areas with the water. Do not boil it for too long or use the neem leaves directly on the infection.
Remedy 4
Coconut oil: Coconut oil damages the cell membranes of the fungus. It is effective only in cases of mild and moderate skin infections. Apply coconut oil to the affected areas 3 times a day. Use it for several weeks, even after the infection is gone.
Remedy 5
Wild oregano oil: Wild oregano contains thymol and carvacrol that stop the growth of fungus. Dilute the oil and apply it to the affected areas up to 3 times daily.
Remedy 6
Garlic: Garlic has great antifungal and antimicrobial properties. Make a garlic paste and mix it with olive or coconut oil. Apply a thin coating of the paste to the affected areas. Keep it on for 2 hours, and then rinse it off. Repeat twice a day. Do not apply the raw garlic paste directly on the fungus.
