WhatsApp Stops Functioning On Older Phones
Beloved social media application WhatsApp has stopped functioning in older android and I phone handsets. According to a report on Monday, WhatsApp said that the move had to been made to ensure that it could continue to originate new features and stay secure, which relies on the app being used on new operating system.
In the promoting markets where the chat app and other phones are famous, WhatsApp has faced a strong judgement for it’s move. Any person using I phone 3GS or IOS 6, Android 2.1 or 2.2 will find the app has stopped working. The same will occur to any person on windows phone 7, the independent reported yesterday.
The firm has considered that anyone with one of those older smartphones who want to keep messaging with friends simply has to buy a new handset.
WhatsApp firstly said that all blackberry models and some Nokia handsets that would be stopped from the chat app.
WhatsApp wrote in an update to it’s blog.
“We are continuing support for blackberry 10, blackberry operating system, Nokia Symbian S60 and Nokia S40, until June 30, 2017.
WhatsApp service will block on any first to fourth generations of I pad that has not been updates. The users need to update to IOS 9.3 to continue the service.
Rumored news scheduled in 2017 involve a new feature that would grant people to edit or fully delete messages after they have been sent.
