How To Prepare Honey Candy (Sugar Candy) At Home


Rice – 1/2 cup (Or Idili rice)
Whole Urad dal – 2 tbsp
Food Colour – Red Color – 4 pinches

Sugar Syrup:

Sugar – 1 cup
Water – 1/4 cup
Baking Powder
Sugar – 3 tbps
Oil – for deep frying (to coat)

Step 1: Soak rice and urad dal in water for 1 and half hour.
Step 2: Then mix rice, urad dal and baking soda with food color.
Step 3: After mixing these ingredients, deep fry these paste into small balls in coconut oil.
Step 4: Make sugar syrup by boiling one cup of sugar with required water.
Step 5: Dip the fried rice urad dal balls to this sugar syrup till the balls get softer and a little jelly inside.
Step 6: Take the candies from the syrup and it is ready to serve now..
