Nokia And Bsnl To Join Hands In Developing 5G Connected India
India’s Telecom operator BSNL has joined with Nokia to develop 5G In India. The declaration was made in a closed function at the Mobile World Conference (MWC), 2017.
Anupam Shrivastava, chairman of BSNL said that “This joint initiative will go a long way to help us meet the future data demands in a most cost-effective way.” It is a great enjoyment to collaborate with Nokia which we can get from the words of Shrivastava. Even, Nokia has an affiliation with Airtel to roll out the 5G services in India. Besides Reliance Jio being having an agreement with Samsung to bring 5G services, made BSNL to get into the agreement with Nokia.
The main goal of the plan is to make better 5G mobile connectivity services in India by expanding the capacity and coverage of network services. BSNL will help Nokia in developing the use for both enterprise and retail customers while Nokia will help BSNL in spectrum assessment and in the optimization of the same to deliver 5G . The technology used by the companies would be SDN(Software Defined Networking), multi access edge computing and cloud to help BSNL evolve and maximize the opportunities of the programmable world.
Sanjay Malik, head of Indian market Nokia said that “we will leverage our global experience in 5G- related firm projects and collaborations to enable BSNL to develop their networks for the programmable world.”
