Facebook Introducing A New Feature: Live Audio
Facebook declared Tuesday a new choice called Live audio, that will let publishers more simply go live with audio only on the network. It is similar to the live video experience on Facebook, users can comment and leave reactions.
Facebook is examining the feature with a set of participants including the radio shows. BBC World service and LBC(Leading Britain’s Conversation). Facebook plans to expand the feature on next year.
Live audio provides a new format which is first being made available to publishers, is created to compliment video stream with a lower band width option.
We already know that publishers sometimes go live from areas with poor network connectivity. Live audio presents another choice for connecting with your audience in real time from low connectivity areas. Android users will be proper to close Facebook and use any other app while live audio keeps playing. Ios users can only browse the rest of Facebook with the stream running, while opening another app will cut the sound.
The broadcast of Live audio is excellent, long limit of 4 hours so they should hold a vast area of content, such as:
Musicians could telecast studio sessions.
Writers could do live readings of their books.
Radio stations could radio-cast their programs.
Celebrities could do questions and answers without misgiving about how they view on camera.
