Spreadsheet software is one of the most technology used for calculation, computing and collecting the data. It contains a rectangular array of cells in columns and rows. Users can create the graphs, flow charts, reports for financial and some other datas. This software is user friendly.
THE FIRST SPREADSHEET
Do you know how the idea of a spreadsheet originated.? It was Dan Bricklin, a student in the Haward Business school, who had an idea which led to the development of spreadsheets. For economic planning data were entered in long columns. When slight changes were made in the figures, data in all columns had to be recalculated. To overcome the tedious work, Dan thought of using the computer. He thought that if similar columns were drawn in the computer, it would make the job easy. He shared his idea with Bob Frankston, his friend who was a computer programmer. Franks ton built Visy Calc, the First spreadsheetin 1978. This was the first application in Apple Computer. This software became very popular and helped in increasing the sales of the computer. Now spreadsheets are among the most widely used applications.

Macro is a set of programming instructions stored in Visual Basic Applications(VBA). It is used to eliminate the need to repeat the steps of commonly performed tasks over and over again.
