Using gadgets before bed must effect the quality of your sleep and release of melatonin. Melatonin, a hormone in the body clock give information to our body its time to sleep.If you did not mind that information you could sometime suffer with serious health consequences .7 to 9 hours of sleep will help to relieve stress,improve memory and other health disorder.The experts of Australian Brown University find out that sleep disorder is due to the excessive use of communication technology.The sleep disruption by light emitting device will effect the health and will interfere in sleep-wake cycle .As usual no one likes to sleep in the presence of light.This research give the answer ,why we cant like to sleep in presence of light.Brain starts increasing hormone during 9 pm and 10 pm which make sleep and it help in certain health benefit.
It mostly effect the children who are in between the age of 9 and 15.The light exposure of gadgets ,it will equally effect suppression of production of hormone,melatonin in boys and girls. Suppression of melatonin increase the risk of cancer,immunity functions,heart diseases. Using gadgets in dim light for 1 hour will suppress melatonin about 9.2% ,in an ordinary room light will suppress melatonin about 26%melatonin,lights in common light bulb will suppress melatonin about 36.9%of melatonin. It will depend upon the intensity of light.Same situation affected during watching Television.Researchers warn to parents that be careful with there children ,do not allow to use gadgets with a back lit display while going to bed especially for those children who are between 9 and 15.Studies say that about 96 % of children are using gadgets while in bed.
