His name is Mahant Bharatdas Darshandas. He is the lone voter in the midst of Gujarath’s gir forest. Darshandas lives in the home of Asiatic lions, for whom an entire election team sets up a polling booth every election.

In his early 60’s is the lone occupant hamlet called Banej in Gir forest. He has been casting his vote for past elections as 2004 and 2009 for the parliamentary elections and the 2007 and 2012 for the State Elections.
