Reliance Jio Joins With Samsung To Improve Data Services
India’s latest Telecom operator Reliance Jio has joined with Samsung to bring 5G in India. The declaration was made in a closed function at the MWC 2017 conference in Barcelona, Spain.

“As Jio’s end to end LTE solution partner, it is a great enjoyment for Samsung to participate in Reliance Jio great success,” said Youngky Kim, president and head of network business at Samsung electronics. The large distribution of over a million unit across India is specially noticeable.

Samsung also declared it’s “I&G (Infill & Growth) Project” for Reliance Jio. The main goal of the project is to make better LTE mobile connectivity services in India by expanding the capacity and coverage of current network. The project will be handled by spectrum 850, 1800, and 2300 MHZ. This is also said to increase Reliance Jio scope more than 90% of the population.

Reliance Jio joined with Samsung and presented it’s 5G suitable commercial products at the ongoing MWC 2017 conference. South Korean tech company will be launching these products in India.

Samsung declared four latest commercial 5G products at the MWC 2017 Event. The products includes a 5G Radio Base Station, 5G Home Router and 5G Modem Chip sets.

“Samsung has been concentrating on 5G Research And Development for almost half a decade and this product launch shows the completion of a lot of hard work and industry engagement,” said Paul Kyungchoon Cheun, executive vice president at Samsung electronics during the launch.

A few weeks before, Reliance Jio introduced a new plan called Jio Prime Tariff Plan in India. The membership pay for Jio Prime is Rs.99 for one year. Jio Prime members can extend the benefits of the company’s Happy New Year plan at price of Rs. 303 per month. Prime users can continue to use unlimited benefits ‘until March 2018’.
