There are two kinds of cinnamon we get in the market. They are:
- Cassia Cinnamon– Known as fake cinnamon. It is cheaper and slightly bitter in taste and is usually harmful to the body.
- Ceylon Cinnamon – Known as true cinnamon. It is softer and light brown in colour. It is more sweet in taste and more expensive.
Cassia cinnamon is only recommended to have upto 2 grams or one teaspoon and Ceylon cinnamon can be consumed upto 5 grams or two and half teaspoon.
